Prioritizing Downloads and Internet Traffic by Intellistream

Intellistream is a feature of many Belkin routers that prioritizes video, voice over IP (VoIP) and gaming traffic for a better online entertainment experience.

For example, let's say two (2) users are connected to the router at the same time.  One is streaming a video and while the other is downloading music.  Using Intellistream, your Belkin router is capable of giving bandwidth priority to the video resulting to faster performance.

Intellistream can prioritize Internet traffic automatically by giving different priority to five (5) categories.

Follow the steps below to identify the services held within each category:

i.   Accessing the web-based setup page

ii.  Identifying the types of services in each category

Accessing the web-based setup page

Step 1:
On your computer, open any browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari®).

Step 2:

In the address bar, enter "192.168.2.1" and press [Enter] on your keyboard.  You will then be directed to the router's web-based setup page.
