This article will guide you on how to pair your device to a Bluetooth® adapter.
A few things to remember before you begin:
- Make sure that you have successfully installed the Bluetooth® adapter. This can be indicated by having a Bluetooth® technology icon on your Desktop.
- Make sure the device that you're trying to connect with has Bluetooth® technology capability and that its Bluetooth® function is enabled and detectable.
Follow the steps below to learn how to pair your device to a Bluetooth® adapter:
NOTE: This article uses a phone as an example.
Step 1:
Double-click the My Bluetooth places icon.
Step 2:
Click on View Devices in range in the left menu.
Step 3:
Once you can see your phone in the list, right-click on the Phone icon. A menu will then appear. Choose Pair device.
Step 4:
Enter "0000" and press OK.
QUICK TIP: If it doesn't accept the code, enter "1234" instead.
Step 5:
Your phone will then ask you to accept the connection, enter the same code in the phone.
NOTE: Once you have accepted the connection, the icon of the phone will appear with a red tick.
When the phone is paired, you can double-click the icon of your phone to see the profile service on your phone. You can now start using the Bluetooth® technology profiles.
