Resolving the Belkin QODE Keyboard output interchanged issue on iOS

Before using your Belkin QODE Keyboard, make sure to disconnect the Bluetooth® devices previously connected to it.  Also, if the keyboard layout of your device is different from that of your Hardware Keyboard, you must change the keyboard language to update the output.

Here are some examples of Belkin QODE keyboards:

  • Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad (4th & 3rd gen) and iPad 2, F5L149
  • Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad Air, F5L151
  • Belkin QODE Slim Style Keyboard Case, F5L152
  • Belkin QODE FastFit Bluetooth® Wireless Keyboard Case for iPad Mini 3, iPad mini 2 and iPad mini, F5L153
  • Belkin QODE Thin Type Keyboard Case for iPad Air, F5L155
  • Belkin QODE Ultimate Keyboard Case, F5L178
  • Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Lite Keyboard Case for iPad 5th Generation (2017), F5L904
  • Belkin Mobile Wireless Keyboard, F5L175
This article will guide you on how to troubleshoot keyboard output interchanged issue on iOS.

Scenario:  You set up a Belkin QODE Keyboard using an iOS
device with the keyboard layout set to QWERTZ.  However, you notice that every time you tap the "Z" key, the letter "Y" appears on the screen instead.

NOTE:  In this example, an iPad® and a Belkin
Mobile Wireless Keyboard, F5L175 are used.
Step 1:
On your iPad, tap Settings.
Step 2:
Toggle Bluetooth to turn ON.
Step 3:
Select your keyboard under MY DEVICES.  In this example, the Belkin Mobile Keyboard is used.

Step 4:
Go to General and select Hardware Keyboard.

Step 5:
Select the appropriate keyboard layout from the list.

NOTE:  In this example, German is selected since it is a QWERTZ keyboard layout.
