Cleaning and Maintaining your Mr. Coffee® 10-Cup Smart Optimal Brew™ Coffeemaker with Wemo®, F7C050

Cleaning and maintaining your Mr. Coffee® 10-Cup Smart Optimal Brew™ Coffeemaker with Wemo®, F7C050 is simple.  Follow the steps below on how to clean and maintain your Wemo Coffeemaker.

Daily Cleaning
  • Always unplug the Wemo Coffeemaker, and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  • Remove and wash the filter basket, permanent filter, decanter and decanter lid in a solution of hot water and mild liquid soap.
  • Never use abrasive cleansers, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
  • Do NOT dish wash decanter and lid.

IMPORTANT:  Never immerse the Wemo Coffeemaker in water, in any other liquid, or place in the dishwasher.

Regular Cleaning and Maintenance

The Wemo Coffeemaker is equipped with a Clean Function.  This function removes minerals (calcium / limestone) found in water that leave deposits in your Wemo Coffeemaker and affect its performance.  Maintaining your Wemo Coffeemaker will ensure that it will continue to brew fast, hot and make great coffee.

Water Filtration Disk Replacement

The Water Filtration Disk needs to be replaced once a month (approximately 30 brew cycles).  If the machine will not be in use for an extended period of time, rinse the water filter with running water and clean the
Wemo Coffeemaker before use.

Cleaning the Decanter

Hard water can leave white stain on the decanter, and coffee may then turn the stain into brown.  To remove decanter stains, follow the steps below.

Step 1:  Fill the decanter with a solution of equal parts water and vinegar.  Let the solution stand in the decanter for approximately 20 minutes.

Step 2:  Discard the solution, then wash and rinse the decanter.  Do NOT use harsh abrasive cleaners that may scratch the decanter.

NOTE:  The thermal decanter is NOT dishwasher-safe.
