How to factory restore the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002

If you have made any changes to your Wi-Fi or want to move your Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0002 somewhere else, you may need to perform a factory restore on it.  A factory restore will remove all saved settings on your speaker and return it to setup mode, but it does not remove the speaker from your Amazon Alexa account.

NOTE:  Factory restore is not the same as rebooting your speaker.  If you want to reboot your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002, click
here.

There are two ways to factory restore your speaker:

Using the reset button of the speaker

Before you begin:
  • Make sure that the speaker is plugged into a power outlet.
  • You will need a small object such as a pen or paperclip to push in the reset button.

NOTE:  The reset button can be found at the bottom of the speaker next to the power plug.

Step 1:
Press and hold the reset button.

Step 2:
The four status lights on the front of the speaker will light yellow, and the speaker’s voice will inform you that you are about to restore the speaker.

Step 3:
Continue holding the reset button and the status lights will blink yellow one after another to indicate that you are performing the restore.

NOTE:  You can cancel the restore process at any time by simply releasing the reset button.

Step 4:
Once all four lights are solid orange, the speaker is ready to perform the factory restore.  You can now release the reset button.

The speaker will reboot itself to complete the restore.  Once complete, the speaker will prompt you to use the Belkin SOUNDFORM app to set up the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002.  The factory restore is now complete.
