4. Are the USB ports on the Thunderbolt™ Express Dock backwards compatible?

Yes, you can connect USB 2.0 cables to the Thunderbolt™ Express Dock; however it will only transmit at USB 2.0 speeds:

12. What is the voltage rating of the Thunderbolt Express Dock?

The dock runs off of 12V/6A, and from the image of the dock, it looks 900mA on the USB 3.0 connectors (not the 2.1A required to power/charge a Tablet).

NOTE:  There would be an electric bolt next to the SS logo if it was 2.1Amp.

13. Do Apple® Super Drives work with our Thunderbolt Express dock?

No.   This is a known limitation.  However, it is not a dock issue on our side; it is an issue on Apple’s side.  The specification for SuperDrive exceeds the USB supplied power rating, and is limited by the design of Apple’s SuperDrive.  For more information, you can check Apple’s support site: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4049.
