Connecting your PlayStation®4 or PS4™ to the Internet allows you to gain access to online services such as the PlayStation® Network and PlayStation® Store, as well as access shared media files and devices in your network.

Step 1:
Power ON your PlayStation 4, select Settings and press the X button on your controller to access the Settings menu.

Step 2:
Scroll down to Network and press X to select it.
Step 3:
Make sure that Connect to the Internet is checked, select Set Up Internet Connection and press X.
Step 4:
Select Use Wi-Fi and press the X button.

Select Easy and press X to use the easy setup method.
Step 6:
On the list of available wireless networks, find your wireless network name (SSID) and press X to continue.
QUICK TIP: The PlayStation 4 ONLY supports 2.4 GHz networks. If you have a dual-band capable router, you will not see the 5 GHz wireless network name on the list.
NOTE: If you can't see your wireless network, verify that the router is broadcasting. Make sure as well that the PlayStation 4 is within the range of the router.
Step 7:
If your network is secured, enter your password.
NOTE: WPA keys are case-sensitive (abc is different from ABC). WEP keys are hexadecimal (0-9 and a-f) characters and are not case-sensitive.
Step 8:
Once finished, your network settings will be saved. Press the X button to test your connection.
Your PlayStation 4 will test to see if it is connected to your network and to the Internet.
