Firmware Downgrade Procedure F1DP108 v1 and F1DP116G v1 - Firmware (US)

This article will assist you in helping the customer downgrade the Single User IP KVM firmware.  They will need to do this if they have loaded the latest Java based firmware but still require support for daisy chained KVMs and their respective target computers.

F1DP108G – 3.0.5 (571) to 3.0.5 (186)
F1DP116G – 3.0.5 (572) to 3.0.5 (185)

They will need the following items before they start:

•     Single User IP KVM
•     USB Keyboard and Mouse
•     VGA Monitor
•     Remote Computer (on the same subnet as the KVM)
•     Internet Explorer Browser
•     Network Connection
•     Firmware files

Initial Steps:

Step 1:
Plug in AC Power to the KVM

Step 2:
Power up the KVM via the On/Off Switch, located on the back of the KVM.  Wait until the Bank LED on the front of the KVM stops blinking before continuing.

Step 3:
Connect a USB Keyboard and Mouse to the KVM.

Step 4:
Connect a VGA Monitor to the KVM.

Step 5:
Connect a network cable to the LAN port on the KVM.

Step 6:
Make a note of the MAC address of the KVM Switch on the label on the rear enclosure panel.

Step 7:
Log in to your network router.

Step 8:
Using your network router, note and record the DHCP IP address of the KVM Switch by going to the DHCP Client listing and match the MAC address to the IP address.

Installation Procedures:

From an external computer on the same network as the KVM (NOT a computer/server that is attached to the KVM), perform the following:

Step 1:
Copy the applicable firmware file to the desktop of the computer that will be used to perform the firmware downgrade.

Step 2:
Open an IE browser window and type in https://ip.of.the.kvm/ and press Enter on your keyboard
