Getting to know the Belkin SOUNDFORM app

The Belkin SOUNDFORM™ app allows you to control the different features of your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0002.  This article will help you get to know the features and settings of the Belkin SOUNDFORM app.
 

Devices

The Devices screen is the default screen shown when using the Belkin SOUNDFORM app.  This displays a list of all the speakers you have connected to this network.

Each speaker has its own device tile.  This tile has basic information such as the status of the speaker and a volume control.  If an audio is playing on the speaker, it will list the information of the currently playing track .  

Currently playing information

When a speaker is playing an audio, you can tap on its device tile and you will be redirected to the currently playing information screen.  This screen lists what is currently playing on the speaker.  Depending on what application you are using to play audio, you will see with different options such as playback, volume controls and playlist information on the screen.

  • Speaker Name – Displays the name of the currently selected speaker.
  • Playback Service – Displays the name of the service being used to play audio on this speaker such as Bluetooth®, Spotify®, Amazon Music, or AirPlay®.
  • Album Art – This is the album art from the service streaming to the speaker.
  • Track Information – Displays the information about the currently playing track such as the track name, artist name and album name.
  • Playback Timer – Shows the current position of the track playing.  If your service allows it, you can use this to move the audio track forward and backward.
  • Playback Controls – This is used to control the playback.

Speaker settings menu

Access the speaker settings menu through the speakers list of the Belkin SOUNDFORM app.  From there, tap on the gear icon of the speaker to display its settings.

  • Rename – Allows you to rename your speaker.
  • Speaker Info – The Speaker info screen contains important information about the speaker.

Wi-Fi Status:
  • Wi-Fi Status This is the Wi-Fi name of the network that your speaker is connected to.
  • Wi-Fi Strength This value (0-100%) shows the signal strength that your speaker is receiving from your Wi-Fi.  The higher the value the better the signal.
  • IP This is the IP address that has been assigned to your speaker.  The speaker uses DHCP to receive its IP address.  If you would like to use a static IP address for your speaker, it would have to be set in your router or DHCP server.
  • MAC – This is the MAC address of your speaker.
 
Other Information:
  • Speaker Name This is the name of your speaker.
  • Firmware Version This is the current firmware version running on your speaker.
  • Build Date This is the date that the firmware was released.
  • UUID The UUID is a unique identifier that the speaker uses when connecting to third-party services.
  • Restore Factory Settings This option allows you to restore your speaker to factory settings.  This will erase all the speaker's stored information and will place it back to setup mode.
 
  • Amazon Alexa Settings – The menu allows you to change the Amazon Alexa settings that are specific to that speaker.

  • Amazon Alexa Language Allows you to change the language that Alexa uses when responding to you.
  • Request Sounds Allows you to toggle confirmation sounds ON or OFF when a command is given to and executed by Alexa.

App menu

The App menu contains different options available for you to change in the Belkin SOUNDFORM app.

  • Spotify – Tap this option to open the Spotify app.
  • Amazon Alexa – Tap on this to open the Amazon Alexa settings menu.
  • Add More Services – Allows you to toggle ON or OFF third-party support services.
  • Bluetooth – Check to turn ON the Bluetooth and then uncheck to turn it OFF.
 
Settings menu

Just like each speaker, the Belkin SOUNDFORM app has its own settings menu.  On the app menu, tap on the Settings gear icon at the bottom.

  • Ver – This is the version of the Belkin SOUNDFORM app.
  • Send us feedback – Takes you to the Belkin website for information on how to get support or to provide feedback.
