Controlling the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 with AirPlay 2

AirPlay® is a wireless connectivity platform developed by Apple® and used with their macOS®, iOS, and tvOS™. AirPlay allows you to stream audio and video from an Apple device to an AirPlay-compatible speaker or television. The Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0002, features built-in Airplay 2 support and can be controlled by your AirPlay-compatible Apple device.

Controlling the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 with AirPlay

The following items can be controlled with AirPlay:

Start and stop playback
Change tracks
Change the volume level

For this example, we will be using an iOS device. On iOS, AirPlay control can be done from the lock screen or via the AirPlay widget in the control center.

As long as you have selected an AirPlay device, you can control it from the iOS device’s lock screen. Simply wake the phone to see controls.

Using the Control Center

Step 1:
On your iOS device, swipe up to open the Control Center.

Step 2:
Tap on the Airplay symbol in the playback control widget. The playback widget can be used to pause and continue playback or to skip tracks. Tapping on the AirPlay icon will bring up the larger player and allow you to control the volume levels as well.
