How to connect your Nintendo DS™ or Nintendo DSi™ to the wireless network

Connecting your Nintendo DS™ or Nintendo DSi™ to the Internet allows you to access various online functions such as multiplayer games and being able to access the Nintendo eShop.  This article discusses how you can connect your Nintendo® handheld console to the wireless network.

A few things to remember before you begin:

  • Ensure that your router is connected to the Internet and that the SSID Broadcast feature of your router has been enabled.
  • Take note of your wireless network name (SSID) and password.

Step 1:
Launch a Nintendo® Wi-Fi compatible game.  On the game's main menu, tap or select Nintendo WFC Settings.

QUICK TIP:  If you're using a Nintendo DSi™, you can also access the Internet settings on the main menu by tapping the settings icon then selecting Internet.

Step 2:
On the next screen, tap Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings.
