  • Determine where you will be mounting the Belkin F1DN-MOD-VMOUNT bracket and the orientation of the bracket to the back of the monitor.
NOTE:  If the monitor to be used does not have an exposed 100 mm x 100 mm VESA pattern and nut inserts, the mount will require a third-party adapter and monitor stand.  Contact your system administrator for details on how to achieve the adapter and stand.  If the monitor does have an exposed 100 mm x 100 mm VESA pattern, continue with the installation instructions below.
  • Ensure that the bracket will be installed on a flat, clean, and dry surface on the monitor.  The bracket is not intended for exposed outdoor installation.
  • Ensure that the maximum distance between the KVM/KM bracket and each computer does not exceed your cabling lengths.
  • Ensure that the keyboard, mouse, and display cables will reach the mounted KVM/KM.
  • Ensure that the KVM/KM's remote control buttons are easily visible and accessible.
  • Ensure that the included screws are of adequate size and type for the designated installation.  In some adapter and stand, a third-party hardware may be required.

Installation

Step 1:
Determine the location for the mount to be installed on the back of the monitor.

Step 2:
Slide the unit with the power connector and host/console cables into the mount with the cables facing the tie wrap slots.

Step 3:

Step 5:
Screw the bracket to the monitor VESA pattern (100 mm x 100 mm) using four of the screws provided.  You can also use other non-provided hardware as required with an adapter and stand.

Step 6:
Attach the keyboard, mouse, and remote control to the KVM/KM unit.

Step 7:
Once installed, follow the instructions provided with the KVM/KM on how to power up the KVM/KM unit as required.
