Connecting your wireless computer to the router can be done in a few steps. Before you connect to a Belkin wireless router, check on the following items first:

Ensure that your computer has wireless capability.

Check the wireless switch and make sure it is ON. If you don't know how to turn it ON, contact your manufacturer for assistance in enabling the wireless capability.

Ensure that your computer is just about 3 to 10 ft away from the router when trying to connect to your WiFi.
Once the above items are checked, you can now start connecting your computer to the WiFi.

Step 1:
Click on the Desktop tile pinned on the Start screen.

Click on the Wireless


Step 3:
Select your WiFi from the list and click Connect.
QUICK TIP: If you wish to connect to the WiFi automatically upon start-up, check Connect automatically.

Step 4:
If you are setting up a home network, select Yes, turn on sharing and connect to devices.

The status of the wireless connection will be displayed. The Wireless icon on the system tray will be displayed as

Step 2:
Select your WiFi from the list and click Connect.

NOTE: In case the WiFi name is not listed, the wireless computer may be too far from the router. Ensure that the wireless computer is just about 3 to 10 ft away from the router when trying to connect to your WiFi. For instructions on troubleshooting poor or weak wireless signal, click here.
If the computer is not detecting any WiFi, make sure that the wireless switch is enabled. Contact the manufacturer for assistance in enabling the wireless capability. If your computer is still not able to detect any wireless signal, change the router's channel. For instructions, click here.
