Belkin NIAP PP4.0 Secure KVM and KM Administrator Troubleshooting – Lost Admin Password

The main Admin user account and password cannot be reset or deleted. If the password is mistyped or misplaced, it cannot be recovered. If you lose the password, your KVM / KM will continue to function with the last setting changes made to it. Belkin cannot recover this password; a lost password is not covered under warranty. 

A factory restore will not erase nor recover the main Admin user password once changed. We highly recommend creating one or more additional Admin accounts when changing the default password to ensure you do not completely lose access to the Administrator Configuration Terminal.

IMPORTANT: A factory restore will erase the additional Admin accounts. If you have additional accounts but have lost access to the main Admin account, we recommend not performing a factory restore on the KVM / KM. If you do perform a factory restore you will lose all access to the Administrator Configuration Terminal.
