Changing your router's password using an iPad®

Personalizing your router’s admin password is important to ensure that there wouldn’t be any unauthorized access to your wireless router’s settings.

If you forgot the administrator password, you need to reset your router.  Take note that doing so will result to losing your previously saved settings.  This means that you need to set up the router again after resetting it.  For detailed instructions on resetting your router, click here.  For additional information about your router passwords, click here.

Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page through your iPad®.  To learn how, click here.
  • If this is your first time opening the web-based setup page, leave the Password field blank then tap Submit.  This means that you are using the default setting of the router.
  • If you have set a password, enter it on the given field then tap Submit.
Step 2:
Tap System Settings under Utilities.

NOTE:  The Login Timeout option allows you to set the period of time you can be idle when logged into the router's web-based setup page.  The timer starts when there has been no activity.  If you have exceeded the configured time, the page will expire and you will have to log in again to change any setting on the router's web-based setup page.  This option is for security purposes and the default is set to 10 minutes.

Step 4:
Tap User-added image.  For the Dashboard, tap User-added image.

You should have successfully personalized the router’s password through your iPad now.
