Display or ethernet connectivity loss when waking your MacBook from Sleep Mode

When waking your MacBook® from sleep mode, there are times when the display does not go back and/or the ethernet connection is no longer being detected when using the Belkin USB-C™ Express Dock 3.1 HD (USB Type-C™), F4U093.  The following troubleshooting tips have been found to resolve this issue:

Tip 1:  Update your macOS® to the latest version.

Tip 2:  For display loss, disable Auto Select on the display.

Tip 3:  For ethernet connectivity loss, set the Service Order to have the USB 10/100/1000 LAN on the top, follow the below directions to set the Service Order:
 
Step 1: 
Go to System Preferences.


Step 2:
Click on Network.


Step 3:
Click on the Ethernet Connection.


Step 4:
Click the gear icon at the bottom.


Step 5:
Click Set Service Order.


Step 6:
Click on the USB 10/100/1000 LAN connection and drag it to the top of the list.


Step 7:
Click Apply to save the changes.


Step 8:
Restart the MacBook.
