Using the Wemo® NetCam App to operate or configure your NetCam


With the Wemo® NetCam App , you can view the live feed on your Wemo NetCam within your network or even remotely.  It also lets you change your settings or take advantage of the camera's features.  The steps below will guide you on how to properly do this.

The steps below cover the following products:
  • Wemo® NetCam Wi-Fi Camera with Night Vision, F7D7601
  • Wemo® NetCam HD Wi-Fi HD Camera with Night Vision, F7D7602
  • Wemo® NetCam HD+ Wi-Fi Camera with Glass Lens and Night Vision, F7D7606
 
Step 1:  Open the User-added image App.

NOTE:  Depending on your settings, you may be prompted to log in with your NetCam account first before accessing the App.
 
Step 2:  On the Devices list, choose the camera you want to use.

NOTE:  If you only have one NetCam set up on your account, you will be taken to the Live Feed Screen directly.

After selecting the camera, you can start to operate or configure it using the Wemo NetCam App.  Select the sections you want to know more about:

Camera Live Feed Screen

This is the main screen for the camera.  Here you can view the camera’s live feed or turn sharing ON / OFF.
 
QUICK TIP:  If you want to share your camera with more people, tap on the NetCam website link.  For detailed instructions, click here.

Tapping the preview will take you to the camera viewer.  You can tap the record User-added image icon to start recording a video or the camera User-added image icon to take a snapshot.

Camera Clips Screen
 
iSecurity+ Premium Services is a paid cloud-based service that allows your camera to automatically save video clips to the web and alert you whenever it detects motion.  The service comes with a 14-day free trial.  Once the trial period ends, a monthly subscription fee will apply. 

If you subscribe to the iSecurity+ Premium Services, you can visit this tab to see the recent clips recorded by your camera.
 
These options are available on this screen:
  1. RECENT CLIPS:  If you've recorded any clips, the most recent ones will be displayed here.  Tap a thumbnail to play the clip.
  2. CLIPS LIBRARY:  Tap to view the recorded clips in a timeline.
  3. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS:  Tap to turn push notifications ON or OFF.
  4. SAVE CLIPS:  Tap to turn ON or OFF the clips-saving functionality.
  5. PLAN EXPIRES:  Displays the expiration date of your camera's subscription plan.

Camera Settings Screen

On the Camera Settings Screen you can change settings specific to your camera.
  1. Edit Image:  Tap the image to assign a custom icon to your camera.
  2. Edit Name:  Tap to change the name of your camera.
  3. Email Notifications:  Tap the switch to turn ON or OFF email notifications.
  4. Camera Sensitivity:  Drag the slider to adjust the motion detection sensitivity of the camera.
  5. Camera Orientation:  Tap to change the camera orientation.
  6. Infrared:  Tap to change the night vision settings.
  7. Auto Adjust Stream:  Tap to adjust the stream bandwidth based on the available upload bandwidth of your internet connection.
  8. Microphone:  Tap the switch to turn the Microphone ON or OFF.
  9. Speaker Volume:  Drag the slider to adjust volume of camera's speaker.

Personalizing the Camera Icon:  Tap Edit Image to bring up options for changing your camera's icon.  You can either use a photo on your phone, take a new photo, or restore the camera's default icon.

Changing the Camera Orientation:  Tap this to change the video orientation of the camera.  This is useful depending on how you positioned/mounted your camera.  You can set it to Rightside Up or Upside Down.

NOTE:  Rightside Up is the default orientation.  Use this when the camera is positioned/mounted upright.
 
Configuring the Infrared setting:  This lets you change the camera’s night vision settings.
  • Auto turns ON automatically when low light is detected.  
  • On leaves night vision ON all the time. 
  • Off leaves night vision OFF all the time.

The App Settings Screen allows you to change settings related to the NetCam App.  This can be accessed by clicking the gear User-added image icon on the upper-left corner of the Devices list.

NOTE:  If you only have one NetCam set up on your account, the App Settings will be accessible on the upper-left corner of all screens.
  1. Username:  Displays the current account username.
  2. Auto Login:  Turns ON or OFF depending on if you want the App to automatically log in your account on startup or not.
  3. Reset Password:  Tapping this will open your web browser and take you to the NetCam website.
  4. Log Out:  Tap to log you out of the current account.
  5. About:  Displays information about the App.
  6. Sound Effects:  Turn the App sounds ON or OFF.
  7. Help:  Takes you to the Belkin support site.
  8. Send Feedback:  Opens your email App to let you send an email to us.
  9. Wemo Legal:  Shows legal information concerning Wemo.
  10. Legal:  Shows legal information about the App.
