The Belkin Thunderstorm, G4A1000 always supplies a full charge current to the iPad®. The amount of charge on the iPad®'s battery, whether Thunderstorm is playing audio at any volume level, determines how long it will take for the Thunderstorm to charge.
NOTE: If the Thunderstorm and iPad® are charging together with the audio ON, it will take up to 6.5 hours charging time. On the other hand, if the iPad® is fully charged or the Thunderstorm unit is charging without an iPad4, the charging time is approximately 3.25 hours.
QUICK TIP: Check the indicator light next to the power button to see the current charging status.
