How to set up your Nest Thermostat to work with Wemo®

Connecting your Nest Thermostat to work with your Wemo® network is a convenient way to control both your Thermostat and your Wemo devices from one app. 
 
Before we start, there are a few requirements that need to be checked:
  1. Your Nest Thermostat is installed and working with the Nest App.
  2. Your Wemo devices are set up and working.
  3. You have Wemo Remote Access enabled on your smartphone or tablet.
  4. You are using Wemo App v1.18 or higher.
If you are missing one of these requirements, do not proceed with the setup and use the links below if you need assistance:  
QUICK TIP:  Wemo App images may vary depending on the device (iOS or Android™) being used.
 
Step 1:  Launch the Wemo App and wait for it to detect your registered devices.
 

Step 2:  Tap the Wemo App's Settings icon.

NOTE:  If you are using an iOS device, go to More.

Step 3:  Tap on Connect to Nest.

Step 4:  You will need to authorize your Wemo App to connect to your existing Nest account.  Tap on Learn More & Authorize.

Step 5:  Enter your Nest account Email address and Password to sign in.

If you forgot your password, tap the Forgot password link to retrieve it.

Step 6:  After signing in, it will take a few moments to link your Wemo network to your Nest account.  When finished, you will see a list of all the thermostats on your Nest account.
 
Now that your Wemo network is connected to your Nest account you can begin to control your Nest Thermostats using your Wemo App.
