Connecting a Mac® computer to the wireless network


This article will guide you on how to connect your Mac® computer to the wireless network.

Before connecting, make sure you have the following information:
  • wireless network name (SSID)
  • wireless security key or password
QUICK TIP:  To check the wireless settings of the router using the web-based setup page, click here.
 
Step 1:
Click the AirPort® icon and select your wireless network name (SSID).


NOTE:  In this example, the SSID is Belkin.5E85.  This may appear different depending on your setup.

Step 2:
Enter your wireless network Password then click Join.

A wireless network icon indicates that your Mac computer is connected wirelessly to the network.

QUICK TIP:  Connecting to your network doesn't always mean you are already connected to the Internet.  Your network has to be set up for Internet connection.  If you have problems connecting to the Internet, click here for troubleshooting instructions.
