Resetting or restoring your Wemo® device to its original settings may be required in the following scenarios:
- Setup has failed
- The router settings have been changed
- The Wemo device is not detected by the Wemo app
- The Wemo device is not detected by the Wemo app after a firmware update
- The Wemo device is blinking blue after a firmware update
IMPORTANT: Restoring your Wemo device to its default factory settings will delete all the data that was saved in it. The deleted data cannot be retrieved.

Restoring the Wemo device using the Wemo app
The easiest way to restore your Wemo device to factory default is through the Wemo app. To do this, follow the steps provided below:

Step 1: Launch the Wemo app.
Step 2: Tap Edit.
Step 2: Tap Edit.
Step 3: Find the Wemo device you want to factory restore and tap on the arrow to open the Edit Wemo screen.
Step 4: Tap Reset Options.
Step 5: Tap Factory Restore.

Clear Personalized Info: This will remove any customized product names, icons and stored rules or any data stored on the Wemo device. This is not a complete restore and the device will still retain the SSID and password for your WiFi.

Change Wi-Fi: This will remove the stored SSID and password from your Wemo device. The Wemo device will reboot after this and go back into setup mode. This is useful when changing routers, SSIDs or passwords but it will not remove any custom names, rules or data.
Step 6: You will then be asked for a confirmation, tap Yes.
You should now have successfully reset your Wemo device using the Wemo app in your iOS device.
