FUNCTIONALITY
How do I set up the keyboard?  Follow these steps: 
  1. Plug the USB-C connector into your iPad. 

  1. Wait for the keyboard to be recognized automatically. 

  1. Start typing. 

(No setup or pairing is required.) 

How do the shortcut (hot) keys work?   The keyboard includes iPadOS shortcut keys for: 
  • Volume 

  • Brightness 

  • Media controls 

These keys allow quick access to common iPad functions. 

Can I disable the shortcut keys?  Yes. The shortcut (hot) keys can be turned off to reduce distractions, especially in classroom or testing environments.  
How do I disable or enable the hot (shortcut) keys on the keyboard?

You can turn the shortcut (hot) keys ON or OFF using key combinations.

To disable the hot keys:

  1. Press and hold the N + H keys at the same time.
  2. Hold for 5 seconds, then release.

To enable the hot keys again:

  1. Press and hold the Y + H keys at the same time.
  2. Hold for 5 seconds, then release.
Can I use the keyboard for school or testing environments?  
Yes. The keyboard is designed to support standardized testing requirements such as PARCC and SBAC. (* PARCC and SBAC are U.S. organizations that create and administer standardized academic assessments for K–12 students.) 
Will the keyboard work immediately after plugging it in?  
Yes. The keyboard is plug-and-play and works instantly once connected to a compatible iPad. 
What should I do if the keyboard is not working?  
Follow these steps: 
  1. Check that the USB-C connector is securely plugged into the iPad. 

  1. Make sure your iPad is powered on and unlocked. 

  1. Disconnect and reconnect the keyboard. 

  1. Try using the keyboard with another compatible iPad (if available).
