Auto-Awake Feature on Folios and Cases for the iPad® 3rd Generation

Belkin recently identified an issue with the auto-awake feature on select lines from our new range of folios for the iPad 3rd Generation. Due to a change in the orientation of the sensor controlling the iPad®'s auto-wake function it is possible that any folio or case enabled with an auto-wake magnet may not work properly.

At Belkin we are committed to quality and as soon as we became aware of the potential issue we quarantined the entire stock of these products to conduct tests. A very small number of folio products were identified as having this problem and these have been removed from stock. However, as some products have already shipped to our retail partners, there is a small chance that an affected product could be purchased by a customer. Should this be the case we will immediately replace the affected product.

We have carried out a thorough review of all products designed for the new iPad® at our factory to ensure that this remains an isolated incident and no future production will be impacted. As a result of this some of our retail partners may have experienced a small delay in receiving their stock.

We strive for consistency and excellence in all of our products and take issues such as this extremely seriously. We would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our valued customers and retail partners as a result of the issue with this feature.
