Setting up the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE

The Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0001 is created in partnership with sound pioneers Devialet to deliver high-fidelity sound for an impactful audio experience.  With Google Assistant™, you can play music, find answers, manage everyday tasks, and control other smart devices around your home with your voice.  A thoughtfully designed charging cradle to hold your smartphone securely for fast, convenient wireless charging.  This article will guide you in setting up your new Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE.

Before you begin, you will need the following:
  • A Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE
  • The latest Google Home™ app installed on your smartphone or tablet
  • A smartphone or tablet that is connected to the same Wi-Fi you want to connect your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE to

This article assumes you have a working Google™ Account and have installed the Google Home app.  For information on obtaining a Google Account, click here.  To download and install the Google Home app, click here.
 
Step 1:
Connect the AC adapter to your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE and then plug it into an AC outlet.  The speaker will begin to start up.  Once it has started up, the four status lights on the front of the speaker will begin to slowly pulse white, and the Google Assistant will inform you that it is ready for setup.
 
Step 2:
Open the Google Home app on your smartphone or tablet.  On the main screen, tap the plus (+) sign on the top-left corner of the screen.

Step 3:
On the Add and manage screen, tap on Set up device.

Step 4:
On the Set up screen, tap Set up new devices.

Step 5:
On the Choose a home screen, choose either an existing home you set up before or tap on Create another home to create one.  Tap Next to continue.

Step 6:
Your Google Home app will search for nearby devices in setup mode.  Once it has found a device, it will ask you to confirm if this is the device you want to set up.  Tap Next to continue.

NOTE:  Belkin-7468 is used in the example below.

Step 7:
The Google Home app will play a tone through the speaker to confirm if it is the speaker you want to set up.  Tap Yes to continue or Try Again if you did not hear the sound.

Step 8:
Connect your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE to the Wi-Fi your smartphone or tablet is connected to.  Tap Next to continue.

Step 9:
Your Google Home app will display a notification once your Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE is connected to your Wi-Fi.  You can continue following the instructions from the app as it configures your speaker for any optional third party and Google services.

 
NOTE:  If Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger is powered OFF (i.e. power unplugged), the microphones will be unmuted when powered ON again.
