1.  What is the BT Smart Home Cam 100?

The BT Smart Home Cam App is an application designed for the BT Smart Home Cam 100.  You can download this app for free from the iTunes® Store for your iPad, iPhone, or iPod and from the Google Play Store for your Android™ devices.  The BT Smart Home Cam App is used to navigate the BT Smart Home Cam 100 camera settings.
 
6.  What is the BT Smart Home Cam web portal?
 
The BT Smart Home Cam web portal is accessed via https://myhomecam.bt.com.  Here, you can access your BT Smart Home Cam account without using the BT Smart Home Cam App.  Through the web portal, you can access the BT Smart Home Cam premium features, replay events, copy recorded events to a local computer or delete events and other features.  For more information about the BT Smart Home Cam web portal, click here.

1.  How do I set up the BT Smart Home Cam 100 using an Apple® device?

2.  How do I set up the BT Smart Home Cam 100 using an Android™ device?

3.  How do I mount the BT Smart Home Cam 100 on the wall?
 
To properly mount the BT Smart Home Cam 100 on the wall, follow these steps:
 
Step 1:
Drill holes to the same depth as the wall plugs and insert suitable wall plugs for the type of wall. 
 
Step 2:
Screw in the screws, leaving them protruding around eight (8) millimeters or enough to attach the base of the camera securely.
 
Step 3:
Mount the camera base to the screws.  Adjustment of the screw heights may be necessary to ensure the camera is mounted securely.
 
Advanced Configuration and Troubleshooting
 
1.  How do I restore the BT Smart Home Cam 100 to its original settings?
 
To restore the BT Smart Home Cam 100 to its original settings, use a pin to press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.
 
2.  Why can’t I access my BT Smart Home Cam 100 when I’m on a different network?
 
Below are some troubleshooting tips:
  • First, check if the camera has been set up properly and you are able to access it when linked to the same network or your home network preferably.  Please note that firewalls can also cause issues when accessing the camera.
  • If you're having trouble streaming video when away from your BT Smart Home Cam 100, try lowering your video quality settings. Video streaming is affected by the strength of the network your mobile device is connected to. Make sure that you got access to that network and make sure that other services are available on your device. If this doesn't work, run the setup process again, but please be aware that setup can be only done on your home network.
3.  Can I use any other app to monitor the BT Smart Home Cam 100 on live video streaming?
 
No, you can only use the BT Smart Home Cam 100 App available for Android™ and iPhone®/iPad®/iPod® devices.  Apps from other brands are not compatible and might lead to issues.
 
4.  Can I have the events recording for part of the day only?
 
No, recording events is not available for part of the day. The event recording can be turned OFF or ON using the setup options within the app.
 
5.  Can I turn OFF the audio monitoring?
 
Yes, the audio monitoring is turned OFF by default.  If it is turned ON, you can turn it OFF at the camera configurations or at the camera viewer.

6.  Can I log in to my account using the app from two devices at the same time?
 
No, login of one user is only available on one device at the same time.  The latest device logged in will automatically take over the sole use of the stream and service.
 
7.  How many cameras can I have on one app?
 
There is no limit on how many cameras can be registered on one app, but of course you can only watch one stream from one camera at a time on an app.
 
8.  Is there a maximum number of cameras that you can set up on any single user account?
 
No, there is no limit on the number of cameras on a user account.
 
9.  Is there a maximum number of friends that you can invite to share any single camera?
 
No, there is no limit on the number of friends you can invite.
 
10.  Will the BT Smart Home Cam 100 App work with other cameras?
 
No, the BT Smart Home Cam 100 App is designed to work only with the BT Smart Home Cam 100 and vice versa.
 
11.  Can I connect my home CCTV system to the BT Smart Home Cam 100 App?
 
No, the BT Smart Home Cam 100 App is only compatible with the BT Smart Home Cam 100.  Compatibility and functions with other CCTV systems have not been tested and not recommended.  It might lead to issues with the devices.
 
12.  Can I connect my BT Smart Home Cam 100 to my home CCTV DVR?
 
No.
 
13.  In the cloud recording, can I send event notifications to more than one email address?
 
No, automatic notifications will only be sent to one email address.
