BE108230 Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is Belkin BE108230-06 rack mountable?

No. The SKU is designed to be wall-mounted.

2. Where can I find a list of Belkin Surge Ul certification?

Click here to know find the Belkin Surge UI certification.

3. Is there any way that I can find out if the surge suppressor below has an indication light to let me know if it already took a surge hit and is fried?

Yes.  It has two (2) LEDs on the top of the surge protector.  One (1) is for Protected and one (1) is for Ground.  If the Protection light goes out, it means the Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) *the portion used to take the fluctuations in power…to protect the connected equipment* has taken all of the surge hits it could take, and has now sacrificed itself to protect the connected equipment.  If this LED is not illuminated, the surge protector is not offering any further protection, and is only acting as a power strip.

4. Is the BE108230 surge certified under UL1363?

Yes.  BE108230 complies on both UL 1363 & UL 1449 requirements.
  • UL 1363 = Relocatable Power Tap
  • UL 1449 = Surge Protective Device

5. Does BE108230 have a sticker or print on the bottom of the surge protector that shows the UL compliance?

There is a sticker on the bottom that shows UL compliance.  However, it does not call out UL 1363 & UL 1449, just that it is UL Listed under 50E8.
