The firmware update process for the Belkin SOUNDFORM™ ELITE Hi-Fi Smart Speaker + Wireless Charger, G1S0002 is automatic and does not require any intervention on your part. All firmware updates are handled by the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 itself. For firmware updates to happen, the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 must be plugged in to power and it should also have an active internet connection.
During Setup
During the initial setup of the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002, it will automatically check online if there is an updated version of the firmware. If an update is available, it will update and continue with setup. A notification message will show in the Belkin SOUNDFORM app to inform you that the update is taking place.
After Setup
After the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 has been set up, it will check between 2 am and 5 am local time daily for a new firmware version. If an updated version is available, the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 will attempt to update. If it is currently streaming audio, it will not attempt to update and try again the next day between 2 am and 5 am.
NOTE: If the Belkin SOUNDFORM ELITE G1S0002 is unable to update the firmware during the designated 2 am to 5 am time, it will allow you to start the update manually at any time using the Belkin SOUNDFORM app. This is completely optional as the speaker will automatically attempt to update the next day.
