You are upgrading the server to HP Gen9 and it is connected to a Belkin Pro3 KVM device. When you boot up, you see POST and BIOS information, but once Windows starts to load, there is no video and you will only see a blank screen. This is a result of a BIOS setting within the HP Gen9 that needs to be changed.
Read the instructions below to know how you can fix this:
Step 1:
Boot up your computer.
Step 2:
Press F9 and select System Utilities.
Step 3:
Select System Configuration.
Step 4:
Select BIOS\Platform Configuration.
Step 5:
Select Advance Options.
Step 6:
Select Embedded Video Connection and set it to Always Enabled.
Boot up your computer.
Step 2:
Press F9 and select System Utilities.
Step 3:
Select System Configuration.
Step 4:
Select BIOS\Platform Configuration.
Step 5:
Select Advance Options.
Step 6:
Select Embedded Video Connection and set it to Always Enabled.
IMPORTANT: If you used the Erase feature in HP Intelligent Provisioning, Maintenance > Erase > UEFI System Utilities, it reverts all BIOS settings to default, causing the issue to reappear.
