1. What is the Crock-Pot® Smart Slow Cooker with Wemo®, F7C045?

The Crock-Pot® Smart Slow Cooker with Wemo®, F7C045 is a countertop cooking appliance that allows unattended and scheduled cooking using the Wemo App and your iOS or Android™ device.  It comes with the following features: 

  • Dishwasher safe (removable stoneware and lid)
  • Cool touch handles for added safety and convenience
  • Cord storage
  • Cooking controls (manual or remote)
  • Customize cook time for full control of scheduled meal times
  • Connect from anywhere with 3G, 4G, or Wi-Fi
  • 6-Quart capacity (can feed approximately seven people)
  • Easy setup and management (works with the rest of the Wemo family ) 
  • Reset button

2. How many Crock-Pots can I install and manage using the Wemo App?

The Wemo App has been tested to work with up to 16 Wemo Wi-Fi devices on the same Wemo network.

3. What mobile devices are compatible with the Wemo App?
  • iOS 9.0 and higher (compatible with iPhone®, iPad® and iPod touch®)
  • Android 4.4 and higher

5. What is the default Wi-Fi name of the Wemo Slow Cooker?

The default Wi-Fi name (SSID) of the Crock-Pot is WeMo.SlowCooker.xxx, where xxx is the last three digits of the serial number.

6. Which wireless connection standards and frequencies are supported by the slow cooker?

Crock-Pot supports the 2.4 GHz frequency of 802.11n, 802.11g, and 802.11b.

7. What should I do if my Crock-Pot is not broadcasting any Wi-Fi name?

If your Crock-Pot is not broadcasting any Wi-Fi name, you have to reset the device.  To reset, unplug the power cord on the slow cooker, hold the reset button down and while you’re holding it, plug the power cord back into the slow cooker.  Continue holding the reset button for another 10-15 seconds.  When the reset is complete, you will see the Wi-Fi indicator flash from orange to green and you should now see the default Wi-Fi name of the Crock-Pot (WeMo.SlowCooker.xxx, where xxx is the last three digits of the serial number).

8. Can I set a specific temperature on the Crock-Pot?

No.  You can only choose from High, Low, and Warm on the Crock-Pot.  The temperature that you will set on the slow cooker depends on the ingredients and recipe that you want to cook.

9. Can I set rules for the Crock-Pot?

No. But if the Crock-Pot is connected to a Wemo Switch, the following will apply:
  • Rule Off – Slow Cooker will turn OFF based on Rule configured.
  • Rule On – Power will be provided to the Slow Cooker and will reconnect to network, as long as Network Settings have been configured.  You would then be able control the slow cooker via the Wemo App.

10. How many timer settings can I set on the Crock-Pot?

You can only set one timer setting at a time.

11. Can I set timer settings manually?

No.  The timer settings can only be configured using the Wemo App.  If you set the cooking control manually, you will have to open the app to set the Crock-Pot's timer to your preferred setting.  

12. Will the temperature shift to warm once the food is cooked?

No.  The temperature will only change to WARM once the time you specified is over.  Determining the ideal temperature setting for the recipe is recommended to avoid overcooking the food.  If for some reason you realize the time you set is longer than required, you can still change the settings mid cook cycle through the Wemo App.  For instructions, click here.

NOTE:  The slow cooker will stay on the WARM setting for 6 hours before it will turn OFF.


13. Can I change the Crock-Pot’s timer and temperature settings mid cook cycle?

14. What should I do if the Crock-Pot shows Not Detected on the Wemo App?

Not Detected is the status of the device in the App if it is unplugged, disconnected from the network or OFF.  Check if the slow cooker is powered ON


15. What should I do if my Remote Access is lost on the Wemo device?
