Qi2 Magnetic Products
Disclaimers: Belkin’s Magnetically Attaching and Charging Products will leverage the Qi2 magnetic alignment technology of the Wireless Power Consortium. Belkin’s products are Qi2-certified and utilize the official module.
Our Qi2 Charging Products will wirelessly charge iPhone® 15/14/13 and other Qi2-enabled devices up to 15W.
The following guidelines should be followed when using your iPhone 15/14/13 and other Qi2-enabled devices with a Belkin Qi2 charging accessory. These will help ensure proper functionality of your Qi2 product as well as the safety of your phone.
1. It is recommended to use a MagSafe®/Qi2 compatible phone case on a device when using your Qi2 charger. Cases are designed to work with your phone and assist in the Qi2 magnetic capabilities ensure a strong connection.
2. Do not place credit cards, security badges, passports, or key fobs between your phone and the magnetic holder portion of your Qi2 charger, as this might cause damage to the magnetic strips or RFID chips in those items.
3. If you are using the Apple® MagSafe Wallet® or other magnetic accessory attached to your iPhone or iPhone Case, please remove the wallet/accessory before using your Qi2 charger; the wallet can impede both magnetic and charging functionality.
4. Please familiarize yourself with the strength of the magnet on your Qi2 charger in relation to the phone. Please attach and remove a few times to get a good feel for how strong the magnetic connection is between the two devices.
5. When moving your Qi2 charger to a new location, it is recommended that you first remove your phone from the magnetic connector. This will reduce the chance of your phone becoming accidentally detached from the magnetic connector and potentially damaging your phone.
6. If you keep your phone in a leather case while using your Qi2 charger, the case might show circular imprints from compression of the leather. This is normal, but if you’re concerned about this, it is recommended to use a non-leather case instead.
7. Qi2 chargers are designed to be used with a single Qi2-enabled device at a time.
8. If you connect a cable to your phone while using your Qi2 charger, your phone will switch from charging wirelessly to wired charging with the cable. This will not impact the magnetic holding functionality of your Qi2 charger.
9. When your Qi2 charger is used in a car, please note that the magnetic attachment may not be as secure as using a mechanical clamping device.
