ScreenCast AV Troubleshooting Tips – Connectivity

How long will it take for my ScreenCast AV system to power ON and connect?

While using the ScreenCast AV system, it may encounter instances which involve short delays before the device powers ON and starts to connect devices on the network.  Some scenarios where this happens include:

  • When turning the receiver and transmitter ON, it can take up to 15 seconds for the devices to connect with one another.
  • If you change sources or video resolution, a 10-second delay would occur as the devices synchronize with one another.
  • If you are adding an additional transmitter to your ScreenCast AV system, it can take up to 60 seconds to pair.

These scenarios are considered normal activity for the ScreenCast AV hence there is no need to worry if they occur.

NOTE:  The ScreenCast AV system comes with a pre-paired receiver and transmitter so this should not be necessary unless you add an additional Wireless Home Digital Interface™ (WHDI) transmitter or if you press the Reset button for more than five (5) seconds to reset the receiver to its factory defaults settings.
