Setting up a secure network using Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS)

Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ (WPS) is a feature that lets you easily connect WPS-supported client devices to your router wirelessly.  It is also a method for establishing a wireless network in a secure and simple manner.

IMPORTANT:  The device you want to connect must support WPS.  If your device does not support WPS, you can still set up a secure network through your router’s web-based setup page.  To learn how to do this, click here.

To setup your network using WPS, follow the steps below:

NOTE:  It is recommended to use a wired computer when accessing the router’s web-based setup page.

Step 1:
Launch a web browser to open your router’s web-based setup page.  Enter the router’s IP address in the Address bar.

NOTE:  192.168.2.1 is the default IP address of Belkin routers.
