Belkin INC006 connection to Windows 10

When installing the Belkin CONNECT→™ Pro Thunderbolt™ 4 Dock, INC006 on Windows® 10, drivers are not required because it is a plug and play dock.  However, for first time connection using Windows 10 as the host laptop, you need to provide the necessary approval.  Without approval, only external displays and power delivery will function, and no other ports will be functional.

When you plug the dock for the first time, there will be a pop-up message that the device has been attached and administrator access is needed to install it.

NOTE:  If you do not have administration privileges, you won’t be able to provide the necessary Thunderbolt approval.

Once you have clicked on the OK button, a new pop-up will show with the following options:

  • Do Not Connect - This option will cancel everything.
  • Connect Only Once - This option will allow the dock to connect to your computer for one time only, and it will prompt again the next time you connect to the dock.
  • Always Connect - Choosing this option will allow the dock to always connect to your computer and will keep this message from popping up in the future.

After you have approved the device, you can now use the ports on the dock.

IMPORTANT:   If you have chosen the Do Not Connect option, the dock is functioning if you see displays on your external monitors, but no other ports will work.
