Collectively, the Belkin products, website and other services are the Services.
Personal Information. This means any information that relates to you, where you are identified or identifiable (either from that information alone, or other information that we hold) which may include your name, address, email address, phone number, any ID number or location data, and in some cases IP addresses.
Aggregated Information. When information is aggregated, it is added to other information about other customers and users. Where information is sufficiently aggregated, it may become anonymized.
Anonymized Information. When information is anonymized, it is converted into a form which means it can no longer be used to identify you. This may be done by removing data, or by other means. Once information is anonymized, is it is no longer considered Personal Information under applicable data protection and privacy laws.
Children’s Personal Information. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information of persons under the age where such collection is permitted. If we are informed that we have collected the Personal Information of a child under the age of majority, we will delete that Personal Information from our systems. We collect Personal Information directly from you, and in some cases from third parties. We also collect Personal Information automatically from you, related to your use of our Services and interactions with us. Below, we have identified the types of Personal Information we collect as well as the purposes for collecting and processing your Personal Information. These are set out below together with the legal basis we rely on in each case under GDPR and UK GDPR, to the extent that these laws apply to our collection of your Personal Information depending on your country of residence. |1) Registering your Belkin product or account and maintaining your account with us
|We collect contact information when you create an account and/or register your product. It will include an email address and may also include your name and postal address. We also collect information relating to the actions that you perform while logged into your account.
|We use this information to take steps at your request to enter into, and perform, our contract with you in connection with the Belkin product you have purchased, and also to notify you about changes to our terms, conditions and policies.
|2) Managing the business relationship with our Customer, Partner and Supplier
|We collect the name, and business contact information (e.g. email address, phone numbers), of the employee of our B2B customers, partners, suppliers with whom we may interact.
We use Customer, Partner and Supplier Information to comply with tax, financial reporting and other legal requirements, in particular in order to conduct billing activities.
Also, we use Customer, Partner, and Supplier Information in order to contact our B2B clients, suppliers, and business partners. We also communicate with them to conduct projects and provide services, as necessary processing to take steps to enter into and perform our contract with them.

|We have a legitimate interest in making our website function and operate efficiently, for example, to support users to log in or fill out forms.

We collect information such as name, email address, age and in certain circumstances, physical address, that you provide as part of entering one competitions managed by us.
When you participate in a sweepstake or contest, we collect information about you, including contact information to notify you if you are selected and to add your name to a winners list.
|6) Providing customer support
|If you report a problem or contact us for support, we will collect your name, phone number and email address. If you need to return your product, we will collect your physical address and sometimes your credit card number, as well as any other content that you send to us, in order for us to provide support.
|7) Measuring email interconnectivity
|If you receive emails from us, we use certain tools to capture data related to when you open our message, click on any links or banners contained in the email, or if you make a purchase.
|8) Customer satisfaction (feedback, customer / technical support and social media)
|If you provide us with feedback or interact with us via one of our customer / technical support channels (‘Live Chat’ agent / chatbot or telephone), or on one of our social media sites, we will collect your name and email address, as well as any other content that you send to us, in order to reply to you and to develop new products and improve current ones.

In such cases, provision of your Personal Information is mandatory since it would not otherwise be possible to enter and perform our contract with you, or to comply with our legal obligations.
However, in the case of processing of your Personal Information based on your consent, you can at any time withdraw the consent you previously provided. You can also object to the processing based on our legitimate interest where that is the basis for our processing, in either case by contacting us. No further data processing will be carried out by us, except where we have compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or we need the Personal Information for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

The Personal Information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, various locations globally, in particular the United States where Belkin is headquartered. Belkin maintains a record retention policy that defines retention periods applicable within the business from time to time.
We strive to maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information collected by Belkin websites and Belkin products, although unfortunately the transmission of information via the Internet is not 100% secure. In the event that we are required by law to inform you of a breach to your Personal Information we may notify you electronically, in writing, or by telephone, if permitted to do so by law.
It is important to note that if you use a computer or device that can be accessed by others, other people may be able to access unencrypted Personal Information. If you do not want your information to be available to others, exercise caution when using public computers or devices or when using any computer or device to which users unauthorized by you may have access.
We recommend that you take every precaution in protecting your Personal Information when you are on the Internet. For example, change your passwords often, use a combination of letters, numbers and other characters when creating passwords, and make sure you use a secure browser. You should also be aware that names that you give your devices (also known as “friendly names”) may be detectable by others outside your home, so you should not use Personal Information as part of your friendly names.
In this California specific section, we provide information as required under California privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, CCPA), which require that we provide information to California residents about how we handle their personal information (as defined by the CCPA), whether collected online or offline. This section does not address or apply to our handling of publicly available information made lawfully available by state or federal governments or other personal information that is subject to an exemption under California privacy laws.

Do We “Sell” or “Share” Personal Information? California privacy laws define a “sale” as disclosing or making available to a third party, personal information in exchange for monetary or other valuable consideration, and “sharing” includes disclosing or making available personal information to a third party for purposes of cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not disclose personal information to third parties in exchange for monetary compensation. We may “sell” (as defined by the CCPA) Identifiers and Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information to third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, and social networks. We may “share” (as defined by the CCPA) Identifiers, Customer Records, Commercial Information, Location Data, and Internet or Other Electronic Network Activity Information to third-party advertising networks, analytics providers, and social networks, as well as our Affiliates. We do not “sell” or “share” (as defined by the CCPA) sensitive personal information, nor do we “sell” or “share” any personal information about individuals who we know are under sixteen years old.
Sources of Personal Information. As noted above, in general, we may collect the categories of personal information identified in the table above directly from you, and automatically related to your use of our Services and interactions with us, as well as from third parties. This may include:
Purposes for Collecting and Disclosing. As described in more detail in the table provided in the “Types of Information Collected and Purposes for Collection and Use” section above, in general, we collect and otherwise process the personal information identified in the table above to provide our Services to you, respond to and fulfill your orders and requests, as otherwise directed or consented to by you, and for the following business or commercial purposes:
Sensitive Personal Information. Notwithstanding the purposes described above, we do not collect, use or disclose of sensitive personal information about California residents beyond the purposes authorized by the CCPA (pursuant to Cal Civ. Code § 1798.121 and § 7027(l) of the CCPA regulations). Submitting CCPA Requests to Know, Correct, and Delete. California residents may submit a request to exercise their CCPA rights to know, correct, and delete by submitting a request via our webform or calling our toll-free number at 877-310-2443.
When you submit a request to know, to correct, or to delete, we will take steps to verify your request by matching the information provided by you with the information that we have in our records. You must complete all required fields on our webform (or otherwise provide us with this information, e.g., via email) and verify your access to the registered email address for your account, to validate your request. In some cases, we may request additional information to validate your request or where necessary to process your request. If we are unable to adequately verify a request, we will notify the requestor. Authorized agents may initiate a request on behalf of another individual by contacting us in writing at the contact information set forth in the “How To Contact Us” section above. Authorized agents will be required to provide proof of their authorization and we may also require that the relevant consumer directly verify their identity and the authority of the authorized agent. We will respond to verifiable requests received from California residents as required by law.

Financial Incentives. We may make available certain programs or offerings that are considered “financial incentives” under the CCPA (each a “Program”). Your participation in a Program is entirely voluntary, and you are free to withdraw from the Program any time. If you choose to register for and participate in a Program, we may make available to you any certain incentives, such as special offers, programs, discounts and other benefits, as described here. The value of these incentives is reasonably related to the value of the personal information we collect and process related to the Program. In our analysis, when estimating the value of the personal information, we take into account, without limitation, the expenses that are incurred with the collection of your personal information, the offering and administration of the incentives (including third-party costs), any improvements made to our products and services based on the information obtained through the Program and the revenue generated by the use of the financial incentive by our customers.
Do-Not-Track Signals. Please note that our websites do not recognize or respond to any signal which your browser might transmit through the so-called “Do Not Track” feature your browser might have. However, you can set your preferences for cookies on our websites via your browser settings or via our preference manager available below.
Rights Under California's Shine-the-Light Law. If you are a California resident, you may contact us by requesting a list of any third parties to which we have disclosed personally identifiable information about you for their own direct marketing purposes. You may make one request per year. In your request, please attest to the fact that you are a California resident and provide a current California address for your response. In addition, you can also set your browser to transmit a “global privacy control” (GPC) signal or another approved “universal opt-out mechanism” to opt out of targeted advertising and sales (as defined under applicable law). Unless otherwise allowed by the laws applicable in your province or territory of residence, we will only collect, use, or communicate your Personal Information with your consent. You are generally not obliged to provide your Personal Information, however please note that we may be unable to provide certain services to you if you refuse to provide certain Personal Information.
Residents of Canada have the following rights regarding your Personal Information that we hold, subject to any conditions or limitations set out in applicable law:
Access. You have the right to obtain information about our processing of your Personal Information and obtain access to and a copy of your Personal Information. Upon written request and authentication of identity, we will provide you with your Personal Information under our control. We will also give you information about the ways in which that information is being used and a description of the individuals and organizations to whom that information has been disclosed. We may charge you a reasonable fee for doing so.
In some situations, we may not be able to provide access to certain Personal Information. We may also be prevented by law from providing access to certain Personal Information. Where an access request is refused, we will notify you in writing, document the reasons for refusal and outline further steps which are available to you.
Rectification. You may have the right to update, complete, or correct inaccuracies in your Personal Information. If you demonstrate the inaccuracy or incompleteness of Personal Information, we will amend the information as required. If appropriate, we will send the amended information to third parties to whom the information has been disclosed. If a challenge regarding the accuracy of Personal Information is not resolved to your satisfaction, we will annotate the Personal Information under our control with a note that the correction was requested but not made.
Withdrawal of consent. You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your Personal Information, without affecting the lawfulness of processing up until withdrawal. Please note that we may be unable to offer you certain services if you withdraw your consent. Withdrawing your consent does not create an obligation for us to delete Personal Information which we are otherwise allowed or required to retain under applicable law.

Portability. You may have the right to obtain a machine-readable copy of your Personal Information or to have us transfer it to another third party of your choice.
De-indexation: You have the right to request, in certain circumstances, that we cease disseminating your Personal Information or to de-index any hyperlink that allows access to that Personal Information by technological means, if such dissemination contravenes applicable law or a court.
Retention: We will only keep your Personal Information for a period of up to three years. In certain cases, applicable laws may require us to retain specific records for a set period of time which may be longer than three years.
Please contact us using the information set out in the “How to Contact Us” section above, if you wish to exercise any of your rights or if you have any inquiries or complaints regarding the processing of your personal information by us. If you are not happy with how your rights are handled, you can submit a complaint to the relevant data protection authority.
Your Personal Information may be communicated, stored and processed outside of your province or territory of residence, in any country where we have facilities or in which we engage service providers. These countries may have data protection rules that are different from those of your country, and governments, courts, law enforcement or government or regulatory agencies in those countries may be able to access or obtain disclosure of your Personal Information under a lawful order or otherwise through the country’s laws, regardless of the safeguards we have put in place for protecting your Personal Information. Such transfers will only be made in full compliance with all the requirements of applicable privacy laws, and we will ensure that adequate safeguards are in place so that your Personal Information will receive an adequate degree of protection in the destination country.
