Solution:
Step 1: Power cycle the Wemo Stage Scene Controller and see if that fixes the issue.
Step 2: Power cycle the Home Hub device.
Step 3: Factory restore the Wemo Stage Scene Controller and run setup again.
NOTE: If this does not fix the issue then a replacement could be necessary.

How would I know if my Wemo Stage Scene Controller is running on Thread or Bluetooth®?
Solution:
The Wemo Stage Scene Controller will choose what to run on its own as long as the required hardware is there, meaning an Apple HomePod mini® or Apple TV® 4K 2021 release (newest generation).
If you have one of these devices on the network, the Wemo Stage Scene Controller should begin communicating using Thread. Otherwise, it will continue to use Bluetooth to communicate with the Home Hub.
You can also factory restore the Wemo Stage Scene Controller and set it up again on the network with the Thread supported hub and reconnect to the Thread hub.
If you have one of these devices on the network, the Wemo Stage Scene Controller should begin communicating using Thread. Otherwise, it will continue to use Bluetooth to communicate with the Home Hub.
