Quick ways to backup and import the Wireless Network Settings on Windows 7

This article will guide you on how to back up and import your Wireless Network Settings to other computers by simply plugging in a USB flash drive.  That way, you don't need to remember any passwords or settings of your wireless network anymore when you want to connect another computer to your wireless network.
 
NOTE:  This article is only applicable to Windows® 7 operating systems.  If you are using earlier versions of Windows, the steps may be different.

Learn how to backup your wireless settings into a USB flash disk by following the steps below.

 
Step 1:
Click the  icon located at the bottom-right of the screen and click on Open Network and Sharing Center.

Step 2:
On the Control Panel Home, select Manage wireless networks.

Step 3:
On the Manage wireless networks that you use (Wireless Network Connection) window, double-click the name of your wireless network.
 

Step 4:
On the Wireless Network Properties window, click Copy this network profile to a USB flash drive.
 

Step 5:
You will be required to insert a USB flash drive into your computer.  Click Next after inserting the USB flash drive. 
 

Step 6:
If this window appears, you have successfully copied your wireless network settings to you USB flash drive.  Click Close to exit.

Importing your Wireless Network Settings to another computer
 
Now that you have copied your wireless network settings into your USB flash drive, you can import the settings to another computer at any time, provided that the computer is Windows 7.

 
Step 1:
Insert the USB flash drive into the computer that you want it to connect to your wireless network.  Look for setupSNK.exe, and double-click on it.
 

Step 2:
Click Yes and the configuration file will be saved to the computer.
 

Step 3:
You have successfully added the computer to your wireless network.  Click OK to close the window.
