How to manually select a printer

There are times when the print menu doesn't display on your computer screen even after connecting a printer to your Belkin router.  In order to resolve this, you can manually choose the printer from your computer's print options menu.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

Step 1:
Go to the Start menu and select Devices and Printers.

Step 2:
Under Printers and Faxes, look for the printer's icon and double-click on it.

Double-click on Customize your printer.

Step 4:
Click on the Sharing tab.

Step 5:
Check the Share this printer option, enter a name for your printer, and then click on OK.

macOS®


Step 1:
Launch System Preferences.

Step 2:
Click on Sharing.

Step 3:
Select Printer Sharing.

Step 4:
Select the printer you want to share.

NOTE:  Make sure that your printer is connected to the Mac® computer and you can print files.

Step 5:
Add allowed users by clicking the + button.
