Configuring motion detection settings for Wemo® NetCam

The Wemo® NetCam allows you to monitor your kids after school or watch your pet at play right on your mobile device.  With the new iSecurity+ Premium Services available for your NetCam, your camera can automatically upload video clips to the web whenever it detects motion and send you a notification of the activities through email.

Select below how you want to configure the motion detection for your NetCam.

The steps below cover the following products:
  • Wemo® NetCam Wi-Fi® Camera with Night Vision, F7D7601
  • Wemo® NetCam HD Wi-Fi® HD Camera with Night Vision, F7D7602
  • Wemo® NetCam HD+ Wi-Fi® Camera with Glass Lens and Night Vision, F7D7606

Step 1:  Launch a web browser and go to https://netcam.belkin.comLog in to your NetCam Account.

Step 2:  On your dashboard, select your camera.

NOTE:  If you don’t see your camera name, make sure that the switch at the back of the NetCam is flipped down, then refresh the page.

Step 3:  Go to the Motion Detection tab.  Click the Save Clips to iSecurity+ option to turn it ON.  Additional settings will be enabled.

Step 4:  Click the Email Notification and Push Notification switches to turn it ON.  Drag the Sensitivity slider according to your preference.  Refer to the table below for guidelines on your NetCam's sensitivity level.

Step 5:  Click User-added image to save the changes.
 
You've now successfully configured your NetCam's motion detection feature.

NOTE:  The NetCam sends alerts one (1) minute at a time.

Step 1:  Launch the User-added image App on your mobile device.

Step 2:  On the Camera Device List, choose the camera you want to use.

NOTE:  If you only have one NetCam set up on your account, you will be taken to the Live Feed Screen directly.

Step 3:  Tap the Camera Clips Screen tab.

Step 4:  Toggle the PUSH NOTIFICATION and SAVE CLIPS switches to the right to turn them ON.

Step 5:  Tap the Camera Settings Screen tab.

Step 6:  Toggle the Email Notifications switch to the right to turn the setting ON.

Step 7:  Drag the Camera Sensitivity slider to the right to turn the setting ON.

You've now successfully configured your NetCam's motion detection feature.

NOTE:  The NetCam detects motion and sends an alert one minute at a time.
 
For guidelines on your NetCam's sensitivity level, refer to the table below.
