How to connect to an unsecured Wi-Fi using a computer with Windows operating system

Connecting your wireless computer to the router can be done in a few steps.  Before you connect to a Belkin wireless router, check on the following items first:
  • Ensure that your computer has wireless capability.
  • Check the wireless switch and make sure it is ON.  If you don't know how to turn it ON, contact your manufacturer for assistance in enabling the wireless capability.
  • Ensure that your computer is just about 3 to 10 ft away from the router when trying to connect to your WiFi.
Once the above items are checked, you can now start connecting your computer to the WiFi.
