Rated 4 out of 5 by from Work out the connection bug! Setup is wonky. It puts in Wemo’s wifi instead of my home’s wifi when trying to connect and I spent a considerable amount of time trying to switch it out so I set up my new Eve and got connected right away! I’ll try again with another outlet since I have one setup using with Alexa. But you guys need to work that bug out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wemo mini smart plugs are awesome! I have 5 mini smart plugs throughout the house. We use them everyday and they work great with the app on my phone, or with Google hone assistant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not possible Setup is not possible. I was excited when my order arrived during my lunch and could not wait to set up the Smart Plug for one of my lamps. I waited until work ended and started the setup. I followed the instructions to the letter. The Wemo app was useless. It would eventually see the Smart Plug, but when trying to connect the device I would always see a message that the accessory could not be added. I stayed on the 2.4GHz wireless network and plugged the accessory into the same surge protector the Modem/Router is plugged into. Same thing! I found troubleshooting videos on YouTube, performed restores on the Smart Plug to get it back to factory settings, selected the Smart Plug device from WiFi Settings and tried to add it directly into HomeKit when the Wemo app was unable to complete the job. Only once was the plug able to add to the HomeKit. After it was able to add I tried to go back to the Wemo app to make sure the plug could be added. Wrong! Still received the message the accessory could not be added. I verified the software on my iPhone X was current, I was within a foot from my router during multiple attempts for setup, deleted the Wemo and Home App and restarted my device multiple times. After setting my Home App backup and successfully adding my other accessories back into my HomeKit the Wemo Mini Smart plug was still unable to successfully connect. This same thing occurred when I tried the setup from my iPad. At some point the accessory became unresponsive in the Home App. I thought since I was able to finally add it through there I would be able to do it again. Wrong. So, so, so wrong. After removing the accessory I was never able to get it pair back up with HomeKit. I thought this setup was supposed to work without a bridge, but I think this 2nd generation smart plug requires additional help. I though perhaps the firmware needs to be updated, but since I have not been able to add the accessory I will not be able to check for an update. Whatever response I receive for this review that provides me with "helpful" tips and tricks to resolve this issue will be a waste of time for that person. I troubleshoot products and perform repairs for a living. I have never experienced such a bad setup process with a wireless product. Even if a few attempts are needed I can usually get the product to work. I started this process at 7 PM and continued to work on getting the plug to connect until 2 AM. Finally threw my hands up in the air and walked away. Not worth the hassle of sending the product back. I'm just going to give it away to my roommate that has an Android device because this product, based off my experience, does not work well with iOS and HomeKit. There is no way I can recommend Wemo to any of my clients or colleagues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Android App Problems I updated the app on my Android phone and now it doesn't work...I've reset, synced, turned off and on, rebooted...nothing worked. I had to use the app on an iPhone for it to work. The Android app seems to have an issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible software. Horrible software. New device won't connect to my existing Wemo system. Tech support kept me on hold for 30 min and never answered

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice switch Product was super simple to setup. Had issues with existing Apple Home rules (as flagged in instructions), but was able to resolve by switching some rules around.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst "smart" device I've ever owned This thing worked for about a month with no issues, but then it just stopped working. I've had to set it up again several times, and each time it will work for a week or two and then stop. Now on the latest iteration of it not working, it refuses to allow me to set it up. It just gets stuck on the "Attempting to connect" screen. I tried Belkin's Live Chat (the bot kept looping me through the same questions and I never got an agent) Belkin's Twitter support (never got a response) and phone support (was stuck on hold forever and gave up). So there is no way for me to contact Belkin about the issue. Apparently they can sell me a piece of garbage but do not care to help make it actually work. One of the most expensive smart plugs I've ever bought, and it has given me the worst experience. What a waste of money!
