"body": "A firmware is the instruction code that controls everything your Wemo® device does. Your Wemo device’s firmware is updated periodically with bug fixes, security patches, and performance enhancements. This helps keep your Wemo running in tip-top shape.
The HomeKit®-only line of Wemo devices update their firmware automatically with no interaction from you necessary. Your Wemo device checks for a firmware update each day. When an update is available, your Wemo device will download the new firmware, apply the update, and reboot. The Wemo device will only update its firmware and reboot when the device is not in use (turned OFF). In this way, your usage of the Wemo will not be interrupted.
This firmware update method applies to the following Wemo devices only:

"body": "Setting up your new Wemo® Smart Plug with Thread, WSP100 using the Apple® Home app is quick and easy with a HomeKit® setup code.
\nStep 1: Plug in your Wemo Smart Plug and press the power button.

Step 2: Wait for the light on the plug to alternately blink white and orange.
Step 3: Hold the upper back of your phone near the Wemo and follow the prompts that appear. You may need to adjust the angle slightly for the connection to work. Make sure your phone is unlocked.
IMPORTANT: If the setup prompts do not appear, open the Apple Home app and tap on + to manually enter the eight-digit HomeKit code printed on the quick start guide.

If you want to control your plug with the Apple Home app while away from home, you’ll need a home hub that is always connected to the internet. This may be a HomePod®, an Apple TV® (4K or HD with the latest tvOS™) or an iPad® (with the latest iOS).
