What is the Belkin MMA006?The Belkin MMA006 allows you to mount your MagSafe®-compatible iPhone® security onto your MacBook® to utilize the Continuity Camera feature found in the latest versions of iOS and macOS®. What is MagSafe?MagSafe is a magnetic technology from Apple® that is built into the internal engineering of iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14. It is created as a safety feature for MacBook charging cords and incorporated into the iPhone 12, iPhone 13, and iPhone 14 to create a new ecosystem of accessories for easy attachment with a secure connection to keep your new iPhone safely in place.
What is Continuity Camera?Continuity Camera is a feature built into iOS and macOS that allows you to use your iPhone or iPad® to scan documents, take a picture of something nearby or use your iPhone as a webcam and have it appear instantly on your macOS computer without connecting any wires.

Does the Belkin MMA006 use any adhesives to attach to my computer?No. The Belkin MMA006 is designed to rest on the top of your MacBook screen using a flip out mount. It is held in place with the weight of the iPhone.
Does the Belkin MMA006 use any adhesives to attach to my iPhone?No. The Belkin MMA006 attaches to your iPhone using MagSafe.
Can I still charge my iPhone while using the Belkin MMA006?The Belkin MMA006 does not feature any wireless or MagSafe charging capabilities. The Belkin MMA006 does not block access to any ports, buttons, or cameras on the iPhone. You can still charge your iPhone using the charging port on the bottom of the phone while the Belkin MMA006 is attached to the back.
Does the Belkin MMA006 block the camera on my iPhone? No. The Belkin MMA006 attaches directly to the MagSafe ring in the middle of the phone.
Does the Belkin MMA006 block any buttons on the iPhone? No.
What orientations can I use my iPhone in while using the Belkin MMA006? The Belkin MMA006 connects to your iPhone using MagSafe and can freely rotate 360°. The Belkin MMA006 holds tightly enough that the iPhone will not rotate on its own.
Can I angle the screen on my MacBook while using the Belkin MMA006? The MacBook screen can be placed at a slight angle from 90° while using the Belkin MMA006. If the MacBook screen is at too large of an angle, the Belkin MMA006 can fall off the screen.

The mount features a metal kickstand with a hole in the center designed to place your finger in. Using your finger on the edge of the kickstand, gently pull out the kickstand to the desired angle. The kickstand will go from 0° (closed) to a full 90° and stop when it is fully open.\n\n

Using the mount as a kickstand

The Belkin MMA006 can be used as a kickstand to hold your phone in a landscape viewing position. You can set the desired viewing angle by pulling out the kickstand on the unit and then place it on the table. Since the mount attaches to your phone with MagSafe, you can rotate the mount to allow the charging ports and buttons to be on either side that you like.

Using the mount as a ring grip

A great feature of the mount is that it allows you to use it as a ring grip, allowing for more comfortable grip on your phone while taking advantage of the holding power of MagSafe. Simply pull out the kickstand to a comfortable angle and place your finger through the hole in the center. The mount can be rotated to give you a more comfortable position to hold the phone and allow it to be used in either your left or right hand.

After the mount is attached to your iPhone you can then attach it to your MacBook. Place your finger under the Belkin logo and gently pull out the mount. Once fully extended, the mount will stop moving. At this point, you can rest it on the top of your MacBook screen.

Adjusting the mount for proper camera framing

The mount allows you to use your iPhone in either portrait or landscape orientation by simply rotating it on the back of your phone. Doing this will change the orientation and location of your iPhone’s camera in relation to you. 

While you can certainly place the mount anywhere on the top of your MacBook screen, it is recommended to align your iPhone’s camera with the center of your MacBook screen for proper camera framing.

Setting the proper screen angle when using the mount

The mount will attach securely to your iPhone using a MagSafe connection. It also holds securely onto the top of your MacBook's screen. To prevent any accidental damage to your iPhone or MacBook screen, it is recommended to keep your MacBook screen either 90° vertically or at a shallow angle when using the mount. 

Opening the MacBook at too far of an angle or pulling close can cause the iPhone and the mount to slip off of your MacBook.
