"body": "Why do I have to create a Wemo account?
Wemo® created a cloud-based platform that improved the quality and consistency of Wemo performance. To continue using the Wemo app, provide an email address and password to protect your Wemo devices from unauthorized users.
Some advantages of Wemo accounts:
\n- Always see all your Wemo devices even if some of them are in different houses
- More reliable Wemo control and easier setup with third party services
- Better support if you need our help

What happens once an account is required?
We’ll walk you through the quick and easy account creation process, which is really just adding a password for logging in. Once you create an account, you’ll need an internet connection to control your Wemo devices.

What do I need to do to create an account?
If you have several Wemo devices in your home, it is recommended to be near where your Wemos are located when creating an account. Make sure Remote Access is enabled in your app settings. If you have Wemo devices in multiple homes, link them to your account when you launch the Wemo app on another home’s Wi-Fi.
\n
What information does Wemo collect about me when I create a Wemo account?
We respect your privacy and follow all guidelines laid out under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). All we need is an email address and password.
We do not store, share, or sell any of your data, and only use your information if you come to us for help in troubleshooting your Wemo devices.

"body": "Question: Why is my Wemo app saying that I have unlinked Wemo® devices?
Answer: When launching the Wemo app that is connected to your Wi-Fi, it will scan to see if there are unlinked Wemo devices on the network. If there are unlinked Wemo devices, you will be prompted to add them to your Wemo account. This will happen in the following scenarios:\n- A Wemo device that was set up via Apple HomeKit® (and not the Wemo app) is found.
- A Wemo device that was set up before Wemo accounts were in use was reconnected to the network.
- The Wemo network has not been linked to a Wemo account.
\n\n
NOTE: Steps and images may vary depending on your device's operating system. In the examples below, an iOS device is used.

Linking Wemo devices to the Wemo account
\n\nStep 1: Log in to your Wemo account. To learn how, click here. \n\n\n\nStep 2: The Wemo app will then scan your network to check if there are unlinked Wemo devices. If it finds any unlinked Wemo devices, you will find a message at the bottom section of Devices. Tap on it to begin the linking process.
\n\n\n\nStep 3: On the Link to Account screen, the unlinked Wemo devices will be displayed. You will have two options:
\n\n1. Tap the Link to Account button if you want to link the Wemo devices to the Wemo account you are logged in to.
\n\n2. Tap These aren’t my Wemos if you don't want to link these devices and wish to proceed to the Devices section.
