For iPad 2, 3, and 4 the built-in battery can live up to 160 hours of battery life between charges and lasts up to 1,900 hours in standby mode.   For iPad Air, the long-lasting battery offers 264 hours of active battery life and 4,300 hours of standby.  The keyboard will enter standby mode after 10 seconds of inactivity.  This will prevent draining the battery's power.

5.  What do the LEDs of the Belkin QODE™ Ultimate Keyboard Case indicate?

Power Indication – A blue LED stays solid for five (5) seconds.
 
Low Battery or Power Alarm – A blue LED will be displayed.

Connection Indication

    During Pairing – A blue LED will flash one (1) time per second for five (5) minutes.
    While re-connecting – A blue LED will flash two (2) times per second for 10 seconds.
    If it is connected – A blue LED will stay solid for two (2) seconds.
    If pairing list is cleaned up – Both LEDs will flash then turn OFF.

3.  Why is my iPad freezing while using the Bluetooth keyboard?

If you have purchased a QODE™ Keyboard and upgraded your iPad to iOS 7 you may experience issues with your iPad freezing.  While the issue is rare, it is not unique to Belkin Keyboards and can occur with all Bluetooth keyboards when syncing with the iPad.  This is due to a functionality change in iOS 7 that was not present in iOS 6.

Whenever you need to use a different tablet with your Belkin Keyboard, pairing must be performed to ensure that your keyboard is in control of the correct device. 

IMPORTANT:  Before using your Belkin QODE Keyboard, make sure to disconnect the Bluetooth® devices previously connected to it.  Also, if the keyboard layout of your device is different from that of your Hardware Keyboard, you must change the keyboard language to update the output.  Modifying only the iPad® or mobile phone language will not change the keyboard output.  For more information on how to change this on your Android™ device, click here.  For more information on how to change this on your iOS device, click here.

The steps below will guide you on how to properly pair your device with the keyboard via Bluetooth.

NOTE:  Make sure the keyboard and tablet are close to each other before pairing.

Step 1:
On your iPad tap the \"User-added icon from the Home Screen.

Step 2:
Tap General.

Tap Bluetooth.

Toggle Bluetooth to ON.

Step 5:
Turn ON the Belkin Keyboard then press and hold the Pair key.

Step 6:
The keyboard will show up under Devices on the iPad.  Select Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard.

Step 7:
A code will appear on the screen.  Enter this code on the keyboard and press [Enter].

A message will pop up when pairing is successful.

Step 1:
Open the Settings on your phone.

Step 2:
Switch Bluetooth to ON.

Step 3:
Turn ON the keyboard then press and hold the Pair key.

NOTE:  The Pair key may be different depending on the model of your keyboard.  Try to look for the \"User-added or \"User-added key.

Step 4:
Turn ON Bluetooth connection in Settings > Bluetooth on your Android device, then scan for nearby devices.

Step 5:
Select Belkin Bluetooth Keyboard.

The Android device will notify you when the pairing is successful.  If pairing fails, switch the keyboard OFF and ON before repeating the steps above.
