How to share a printer through your Belkin router

You can share a printer across your network wirelessly by connecting your USB printer to the USB port located at the back of your router.  Your Belkin router allows all the computers and devices on your network to access the files on your storage device and print across your network without having to be directly connected to either the USB storage or the printer.

Before you share your printer, you need to:

  • Make sure that a USB storage device is already connected to your Belkin router and that the computers are able to see the files on the storage device.  If your USB storage device is still not set up, click here.
  • Make sure that each computer that will use the printer must have both the Belkin software and the printer's driver installed.  If the printer driver is not installed, you will be asked to install it through the Belkin USB Print and Storage Manager.

You should have successfully shared a printer across your network now.  If the print menu does not display on your screen after clicking the shortcut, you can manually select your printer from your computer's print options menu.  For instructions, click here.
