TRANSFER TERABYTES OF FILES IN HALF THE TIME

The original Thunderbolt Express Dock transfers files at an incredible 10Gbps. The Thunderbolt 2 technology inside the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD allows you to transfer at twice that speed - an unprecedented 20Gbps.

That's 4x faster than USB 3.0 and a whopping 25x times faster than Firewire 800. With the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD, your need for speed has been satisfied.

Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock

SUPPORTS DUAL DISPLAYS & 4K CINEMA RESOLUTION

Imagine connecting two displays to your laptop. Now imagine one of those displays boasting an eye-popping 4K cinema resolution. With the Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD, you can make the display setup of your dreams a reality.

Note about dual displays: At least one display has to be Thunderbolt or Thunderbolt 2 technology-ready. For displays that are not Thunderbolt technology-ready, the Thunderbolt port is backwards compatible with Mini DisplayPort. The dock supports either HDMI or Mini DisplayPort, but not both. The dock supports only one display at 4K cinema resolution.

Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock

DAISY CHAIN ADDITIONAL THUNDERBOLT DEVICES

Not only can you connect 8 devices directly to your Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD, but you can continue to add up to 4 additional (5 total) Thunderbolt devices by daisy chaining them together. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Product. Don't believe 1-star reviews I love this device. It takes the single Thunderbolt port on my Macbook air and gives me a whole bunch of other ports. It's amazing! It has always been plug and play with me. I do drive a second monitor that happens to be DVI off this hub. I use a Minidisplay to DVI converter for that. It works great. The people giving it 1-star reviews are doing so because they don't know how monitor technology works and are probably trying to hook up two very old monitors to a new computer. These incompatibilities are not Belkin's fault, and they shouldn't be giving this product 1-star because they are, shall we say, challenged by technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works a treat! Just right. Purchased for my partner as she travels with her macbook pro and needs to unplug everything to head out. She has an older second screen – we attached that using HDMI to VGI – worked fine; We have a powered 7 USB (with several slots to sparespare) hub attached to one USB – and everything seems to work (back up discs, printer etc): web Camera to another USB port – all good; have attached the Ethernet cable – all good; which means that there are two spare USB, a HDMI and one more thunderbolt on the computer - for temporary thingys. Brilliant. So the success is that there is just one cable plus the power cable to be removed when she takes the computer away – which is often. She is very happy with that compared to the former when it took her ages to figure out what where etc. Now – just one problem – I want one – but not yet convinced myself to pay the price a second time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk Came with zero instructions, and no way to connect to a PC or laptop unless it has a special thunderbolt connector. Strike 2 on thunderbolt 2 belkin, junk it and try again. i will stick to buying belkin cables only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect add-on to my Mac This is a fantastic add-on to my Mac. Light, lives on my desk most of the time, but when I do need to travel, it's easy to just throw into a suitcase and go. Leaves me plenty of port space and keeps things nice and tidy so I"m only plugging in one thing when I set my laptop down.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless for second display Recently purchased the Thunderbolt 2 dock to connect two displays. One via HDMI, the HDMI unit won't connect, and the USB ports for the USB display won't stay connected. Unplugged power, let sit, and re started computer. Nothing seems to solve this

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Instructions not clear not enough Thunderbolt I bought this at Apple for my 5K Retina late 2015 27" iMac which I have connected via Thunderbolt to a 27" monitor so I could then connect an additional 27" iMac (a late 2012 iMac 27" I put in "Target Display Mode") via Thunderbolt to make a desktop with three 27" screens. I needed the extra thunderbolt port because I also needed to connect my LaCie 4 TB external hard drive to the 5K Retina. Not sure what the advantage of this is because I have to use one of the Thunderbolt connections to connect the Belkin to the 5K Retina which only leaves one open Thunderbolt to connect the third 27 inch iMac to. I may as well just connect the thunderbolt cable from the 3rd iMac directly to the open thunderbolt port on the back of the 5K Retina because I still have no way to connect the 4 TB hard drive with Thunderbolt. In other words I spent $300 to get an additional Thunderbolt connection and in the end it really didn't provide an extra one. Am I missing something? I tried the HDMI with Thunderbolt connection to the one open thunderbolt connection on the 5K Retina thinking the 2 open thunderbolt connections on the Belkin would then be transferred through that but nothing went through that cable to the computer. Not sure what it's for at all. Any ideas or a different product I could trade this in for that will give me more thunderbolt connections? Richard Darlington

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2nd monitors and internet fail to work regularly I purchased this last fall and have been struggling with it ever since. Using a Displayport connection to my Macbook Pro via Thunderbolt I find at least once a week it will not connect. If I connect my Mac directly then it works every time. Recently the network connection has started to do the same thing. There really seems to be a problem with this device.
