The @Home service is dynamic. You will need to set the router up for "Dynamic
IP Address" and enter your host name in the "Host Name" field.
In your web browser address bar, type 192.168.2.1. Enter "admin"
into the user name field. Leave the password blank. The router's status
page will be displayed. Click on "Initial Setup". Select the "Dynamic
IP Address" radio button and click "Select". In the next
screen, enter your host name in the "Host Name" field. The host
name is the same as your "Computer Name". Your computer name usually
starts with a "c" like "cx-1234567a" If you do not know
your computer name, check your @Home paperwork or call @Home. After typing
in your host name, click "Enter". To verify that you are connected,
click on "Status" on the left side of the screen. In the status
page, you should see the word "Connected". Congratulations, you
are ready to start surfing! |

Adelphia
The Adelphia service is dynamic.
You will need to set the router up for "Dynamic IP Address"
and clone your MAC address. Using the computer that was originally connected
to the cable modem, type 192.168.2.1 into the browser address bar. Enter
"admin" into the user name field. Leave the password blank.
The router's status page will be displayed. If the word "Connected"
appears then you are ready to go, if not, read on.
Click on "Initial Setup". Select the "Dynamic IP Address"
radio button and click "Select". In the next screen, click
on "Clone MAC address" and then click "Enter". Setup
is complete. To verify that you are connected, click on "Status"
on the left side of the screen. In the status page, you should see the
word "Connected". Congratulations, you are ready to begin
surfing!

If you have software from Ameritech such as "WinPoet" or "Enternet300"
or you need to run a program from your desktop to connect to the Internet,
then you will need to configure your router for PPPoE. It is also highly
recommended that you remove Ameritech's software from your computer. You
will not need it to connect to the Internet when you are finished with the
router setup.
To remove the Ameritech software,
click on your "Start" button, go to "Settings" and then
to "Control Panels". Double-click on "Add/Remove Programs".
Select "WinPoet" or "Enternet300" and remove it.
To set up your router, in your web browser address bar, type 192.168.2.1.
Enter "admin" into the user name field. Leave the password blank.

Select the "PPPoE" radio button and click "Select".

are ready to start surfing! You will not need to double-click on your desktop
icon as you previously had to connect to the Internet. Your router is already
connected. Simply launch your browser and begin surfing as normal.

Advantage / Bell Canada / Bell South
If you have software
from your provider such as "WinPoet" or "Enternet300"
or you need to run a program from your desktop to connect to the Internet,
then you will need to configure your router for PPPoE. It is also highly
recommended that you remove your provider's software from your computer.
You will not need it to connect to the Internet when you are finished
with the router setup.
To remove your provider's software, click on your "Start" button,
go to "Settings" and then to "Control Panels". Double-click
on "Add/Remove Programs". Select "WinPoet" or "Enternet300"
and remove it.
To set up your router, in your web browser address bar, type 192.168.2.1.
Enter "admin" into the user name field. Leave the password blank.

to set up the router for Static IP Address and enter a Static IP Address,
Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address. This information is provided to you
by Excite@Home. You will also need to clone your MAC address. Using the
computer that was originally connected to the cable modem, type 192.168.2.1
into the browser address bar. Enter "admin" into the user name
field. Click on "Initial Setup". Select "Static IP Address"
and click on "Select". Enter the IP address provided to you
by Excite@Home. Enter the Subnet Mask and the the Gateway Address assigned
to you by Excite@Home. Click "Enter". Click on "MAC Cloning/Entry"
on the left side of the screen. In the next screen, click on "Clone
MAC address" and then click "Enter". Setup is complete.
To verify that you are connected, click on "Status" on the left
side of the screen. In the status page, you should see the word "Connected".
Congratulations, you are ready to begin surfing!

The Media
One service is dynamic. You will need to set the router up for "Dynamic
