Why 802.11a/g?

The use of the 5GHz band allows you to network your computers in the uncrowded 5GHz band, providing you a reliable wireless connection free from potential interference from the crowded 2.4GHz band. It lets you segment your network so you can reliably view photos, listen to music, and watch movies throughout the house without being affected by 2.4GHz devices such as microwaves, cordless phones, and 802.11b and 802.11g networks.
