Belkin Careers Marketing & Web

Overview

Belkin is an evolving and expanding brand, thanks in no small part to our first-rate Marketing team.

Unlike many companies that launch a few products a year, Belkin moves at lightning speed, and remains ahead of the industry with multiple product launches every month. Our Marketing staff stays on top of each one, creating consumer-focused messaging, retail merchandising campaigns, and product launch kits along with Web and advertising content. Our PR managers have built solid relationships with the media and consistently come up with creative ways to keep Belkin’s message and solutions in the spotlight.

Our Web group is responsible for managing every Belkin project that touches the Internet. Departments across our organization call upon our Web team to help create the content and look of belkin.com, our company intranet, our e-commerce tools, and Belkin’s many microsites, which are dedicated to educating consumers about specific products.

Within our Web group, our team of technical programmers and database administrators works behind the scenes to make sure all of our Web content is available to the world 24/7. Through it all, the entire Web team is constantly eyeing and implementing new technologies and solutions to improve the way Belkin reaches the world.

  • What she likes best about being at Belkin: Learning about new technologies

Neisha

Neshia still remembers her job interview with Belkin eight years ago. What stood out about the company back then still stands out to her today. “I liked the friendliness of the people. I felt really welcome and totally comfortable,” she says. “I asked a lot of questions and I got a lot of sincere answers. That was really important to me.”

Neisha

What has she found is important at Belkin? “Everybody here likes input,” says Neshia. “If you like to sit in the corner and not say anything, you probably won’t succeed here. We speak up in the meetings and share ideas because we have an investment in the company. We’re excited to be here and we want to succeed.”

Over the last eight years, Neshia says she’s seen a great, employee-centric company get even better through new benefits, including an on-site fitness center, employee-appreciation events, and frequent opportunities for staffers to make suggestions about how to continually improve their work environments. Says Neshia: “The culture is so people-friendly. Our management truly wants to know what will make us happier. I think it’s great.”

Melody

Melody, PR Manager

  • Hometown: Temecula, California
  • Her favorite part of the job: Getting to work on many different projects; Traveling
  • What she likes best about being at Belkin: Everyone’s openness to new ideas

Melody may not have known much about the technology industry when she first joined Belkin, but she quickly learned everything she could about Belkin’s array of products, and makes sure she’s always on top of what’s next in the pipeline. Over the last six years, Melody has worked to create solid relationships with media outlets, and has helped build the Belkin brand along the way. She set her sights on getting coverage in more than just niche publications, and her efforts have paid off. Belkin’s solutions have been featured in a range of national glossies, including Newsweek, GQ, Maxim, and Redbook.

Melody “It’s a great field to be in and a great place to work. We operate like a smaller company in the sense that if I have a great idea for something new, I can stop at my manager’s or a senior vice president’s office and they’re always available to talk,” says Melody. “Belkin really embraces new ideas. You hear a lot of talk about entrepreneurialism at some companies, but here it really is true.”

Melody Melody has gotten the chance to represent Belkin at industry events in cities around the world, but her favorite Belkin moment came when The Wall Street Journal’s world-renowned tech guru, Walt Mossberg, wrote about Belkin’s Wireless Pre-N Router in his weekly column. “It was a great review and on top of that, the column came out during the annual Consumer Electronics Show,” she recalls. “That was big. I thought, ‘I can retire now.’”

Lucky for Belkin, she’s just kidding… we hope.
